Karolina Muchova apologised to the US Open crowd after being forced to use the toilet several times during her quarter-final clash.
She beat Beatriz Haddad Maia 6-1 6-4 but the game was halted many times by both players.
Muchova had to leave the court for several toilet breaks while Maia had injury troubles.
The Czech star took off despite being in a winning position but she was not keen to go into too much details over why.

“Little weird match I have to say,” she said on court after confirming the victory.
“I had a little problems I wouldn’t like to comment on it actually if it’s fine.

However, injuries hit the 28-year-old soon after and she was ruled out for 10 months after a wrist injury.
The injury was so severe, it threatened to end her career but she underwent surgery and rejoined the tour in June.

But she has a chance to complete a remarkable turnaround and potentially claim glory at Flushing Meadows this year, facing either Iga Swiatek or Jessica Pegula in the semi-final.
She added: “Every round is very tough here and I’m sure it’s going to be a tough and exciting match.”
