The 981st annual Urs of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA) is set to be observed on Monday, August 26, 2024. The Lahore High Court has declared a holiday for the courts to honor this important religious event. The Urs of Hazrat Ali Hajveri, a significant occasion for many, will see the Data Darbar beautifully illuminated for the three-day celebrations.

Despite the court’s holiday announcement, the Punjab government has not yet confirmed a public holiday for this year’s Urs. Last year, a public holiday was declared on September 7 for the 980th Urs, with the announcement coming in early September. Given this precedent, there is anticipation that a similar holiday will be declared this year, possibly around August 24.
