According to the Punjab Home Department spokesperson, it is recommended to suspend mobile phone service only in areas where processions and gatherings are held on the 9th and 10th of Muharram. Mobile service will not be completely suspended in any city.

On the 9th and 10th of Muharram, mobile service will be partially suspended from 8 AM to 10 PM.

In Rawalpindi, service will be suspended at 28 locations, in Rahim Yar Khan at 15, in Layyah at 10, in Muzaffargarh at 7, and in Nankana Sahib at 6 locations.

Service will not be suspended in Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Sargodha, Khushab, Sialkot, Attock, Jhelum, and Chakwal.

Mobile service will remain active in Multan, Khanewal, Lodhran, Vehari, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Okara, and Chiniot. However, in Gujranwala, Narowal, Toba Tek Singh, and Bhakkar, mobile service will be partially suspended.

During Muharram, the routes of processions in Karachi will be sealed off with containers, and a traffic plan has been issued.

Additionally, mobile service will be partially suspended in Mandi Bahauddin, Wazirabad, Rajanpur, Faisalabad, Bahawalnagar, and Hafizabad.
