Despite the Sindh government’s assurances of curbing exam malpractices, the integrity of matriculation exams has been compromised. Reports of leaked exam papers have surfaced from various cities across Sindh, casting a shadow over the credibility of the examination process.
In Larkana, students breezed through the Sindhi language paper, which was reportedly leaked prior to the exam. This incident has put the Larkana Education Board’s anti-cheating measures under scrutiny.
Kandiaro wasn’t spared either. The Urdu language paper, conducted under the Shaheed Benazirabad Board, found its way to WhatsApp before the exam commenced.
Khairpur witnessed a more severe breach. Not only was the English language paper leaked, but allegations of invigilators assisting students in solving the paper have also emerged.
Interestingly, both boys and girls were reported to have taken advantage of the leaked papers, solving them with the aid of WhatsApp.
The recent incidents have raised serious questions about the effectiveness of the measures taken by the Sindh government to prevent cheating and paper leakage during exams. The education sector awaits a robust response to restore faith in the examination system.
