The Sindh Government has announced the observance of “Youm-e-Istehsal” on August 5, Monday, through protest rallies, seminars, and documentaries. This day marks the protest against India’s revocation of the special status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK).
Since the Modi regime’s amendment to the Indian constitution on August 5, 2019, this day has been observed for the past five years. The Sindh Chief Secretary has directed all Deputy Commissioners to ensure mass mobilization and thorough communication of the Youm-e-Istehsal message at district and tehsil headquarters.
Public gatherings, rallies, walks, and protests will be held at district and tehsil headquarters. Special functions will be organized with commissioners and Deputy Commissioners as chief guests. Banners, hoardings, and streamers related to Youm-e-Istehsal will be displayed at prominent locations. Flags of Kashmir and Pakistan will also be shown at significant places.
The Commissioner of Karachi has been asked to organize a Ship March in collaboration with major boat and yacht clubs. Photo exhibitions at the Arts Council of Pakistan and other art councils in the province will be organized to show solidarity with Kashmiris. Additionally, big digital screens will be installed in major cities to play documentaries.
